Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act on Wednesday!

WHEN: Wednesday at noon - 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: 1345 Carter Hill Road - ASU's National Center - across from the Heritage Barbershop; near the big ASU Water tower.

ASU's National Center for the Study of Civil Rights and African-American Culture will host a Brown Bag Roundtable observing the 50th anniversary of the enactment of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The theme of the anniversary event is “The 1964 Civil Rights Act: A Fifty Year Reflection ... How Far Have We Come?”

The program will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 2 at ASU's National Center, which is located at 1345 Carter Hill Rd. - across the street from the Heritage Barbershop.

The 50th commemoration will feature Alabama historians, as well as representatives from the Montgomery community who were involved in the civil rights movement during the time of the Act.

This event is free and open to the public.
