
The August issue of U.S. Airways Magazine includes an article about Johnson C. Smith University in a special segment on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The article is titled “Leading Innovation – Combining Cutting-Edge Technology with Community Engagement.” It draws attention to the University’s STEM program, Innovo Laboratory, student volunteerism, campus improvements and athletics.
Johnson C. Smith University is among the nation’s 106 HBCUs, the magazine states. “The list of HBCU alumni claim some of the greatest American minds and achievers,” it notes. The online version may be viewed here.
The University was also included in an edition of U.S. Airways Magazine last September that featured Charlotte and the Democratic National Convention.
U.S. Airways Magazine has a circulation of three million readers.
