Today, The Black Scholars Index features Alain Locke 1886-1954, the 1st Black Rhodes Scholar, Author, and Full Professor of Philosophy at Howard University. His writings especially the book, The New Negro, helped focus America's attention on the Harlem Renaissance. The focus of his writing might even be timely today. Check him out!
