Today, The Black Scholars Index features Carol S. Parham. She is an Associate Chair in the Department of Education Leadership and Professor of the Practice at the University of Maryland, College Park. She was the first African-American and the first woman to hold the position of superintendent of Anne Arundel County, MD Public Schools.
