The short video below explores the issue of “performance funding” and how it may impact HBCUs. Many schools are funded based on how many full-time equivalent students are enrolled at the start of the semester. Many states are going over enrollment-based and performance based funding models at a time when the Obama Administration’s Education Department is placing new standards on institutions of higher education. HBCUs are likely to be impacted at a higher rate given their special mission.
