She Broke My Heart, I Wouldn't Fix It! (2970 hits)

All our lives we are taught to love one another
Yet as we get older we learn to love just one
What happens when you reach a point in your life
When you realize your lover and girlfriend is really not your wife
What happens when there is nothing left to say
When I spend more time deciding what comes on my Whopper sandwich
Than who in my bed would lay
So this is my chance to address the rumors and all the facts
For everybody that has smiled in my face, here’s your chance to go Run-Tell-Dat
Maybe Chico was right, If I treat you like a dog then you want to stay
But If I treat you like a woman then you walk away
Through it all forgiving her wasn’t the problem
I loved her so much it mattered not what she did
Because she was already forgiven before she did it
Yeah, I admit it
You Cotton Picking’ right I did it
I wasn’t dumb, I wasn’t stupid—I was in just Love
Forgiving her wasn’t hard, but forgiving me was
So here I stand a stronger man, a better man
Knowing in my mind I got to face this pain
Next time there will be a different reaction and a different face
With real friends around that don’t hide behind, “It’s not my place.”
Is it your place to talk about me when I walk in the “café”
Is it your place to smile turn your back and laugh
So here is what I’ll do
I’ll turn my back to you too!
Because you’ve been in the same situation
Not Eating,Not Sleeping, Just Running in Place—And
Then you realize you are just in love
It takes time to get you through it
BeingAnd being available to God to keep you moving
For the next girl, she’ll be my queen too as a matter of fact
I’ll stroke her hair, touch her butt, but most of all I’ll have her back
I want you to be my fantasy
Swimming the seven seas with you right beside me
No place I’d rather be
Speaking words our hearts can’t believe
My fantasy—I want you just like that
So if ya’ll want something to talk about—Go Run-And-Tell-Dat
